SPECIES PRODUCED
  • Sugar beet

Deleplanque produces sugar beetroot seeds in 4 regions and has 2 sugar beetroot seed stations, with Manosque and Villefollet, which is unique in France. Beauce region is dedicated to the production of multi-germ seed varieties, and Brittany to the nursery plants, for the production of stecklings which are then transplanted. Provence and Deux-Sèvres areas concentrate on growing commercial mono-germ seeds and experiments.Learn more

  • Millet

Deleplanque ensures the implementation of production contracts for seeds which are intended to the birdseed market. The similarities among this type of production and the production of seeds have led the company to invest in these niche markets. The constraints and requests are in fact very close:

    • obligation for identification and traceability, with management by lot (allotted production)
    • compliance with the demanding specifications of each client

The production of, for example, millet or sunflower seeds are located at farms equipped with the capabilities for drying and pre-cleaning or are even concentrated around our industrial tool of Villefollet, where we have all the equipment needed to satisfy the specifications of our clients.

  • Vining pea

In 2014, Deleplanque diversified its expertise in seed production and became interested in producing vegetable seeds. Near large crop species, the pea was quickly ordered to be the first vegetable to produce. Today, we have increased seed production of vining peas on behalf of different major breeders and in three large regions: Beauce, Poitou-Charentes and Picardy/Champagne. This regional diversity ensures a distribution of production risk for our clients and also allows us to respond to different types of early ripening. The harvesting of vining peas can be delivered dry or can even be separated, treated and conditioned depending on the specifications.

  • Hybrid rye

Deleplanque has been involved in the production of hybrid rye seed since 1985. All productions are carried out in Beauce. In pre-bases and bases, the strip production scheme is required. Certified hybrid rye seed is multiplied by sowing a technical blend of 95% DM and 5% fertility restoring line.Learn more
